Patients often come to the dentist too late when the tooth is already cracked. This makes treatment much more difficult - a crown must be placed instead of a filling, or the tooth must be extracted and replaced with an implant. Meanwhile, AI is not only able to detect contact caries in its early stages - it can do so much faster than a human eye.
